8 reasons why I love IPL
1.Improving stadium quality
lets face it, all most all the stadiums in India suck in India, there is not enough infrastructure (read money ) to renovate the stadiums lest build new one
This is a picture of the new stadium built in Dharamshala

Huh....Cricket ground or a Trekking Base camp
2.Real entertainment
Thanks to IPL I can avoid the boring saas bahu serials,

Something better to watch than Saas Baho serials
IPL me Drama hai, action hai, romance hai …IPL is complete entertainment
IPL is Manoranjan Ka Baap

IPl me drama hai

Sreesnth hit for a six

IPL me romance hai
3.Giving new and upcoming talent recognition
India is a cricket crazy country, Virtually every one is a born cricketer (including me!) And not every one can make it to the playing national 11.
IPL provides the perfect platform as a consolation prize for those who could not make it there.Doesn’t matter if you cannot play for your country, play for your state.
More over it is also a place where upcoming talent can get used to playing international player and learn how to handle pressure
4.Cheerleaders

Who doesn't love cheer leaders??
Need I say more on this topic, where else do you find in India, half naked chicks dancing with those shiny shiny things in their hands.
IPL baby IPL!!!
5.Employment
Net worth of IPL around $5 billion and it employs over 10,000+ people. I mean all over India and well outside India too.
6.T20 format is a hit
This format of the game is over in a couple of hours and its played at night. This means that i do not have to skip office to watch cricket.I can come back home, crack open a beer and watch it.Or if i am on a date i can record the match and watch it at breakfast. I cannot record a One day match…my set top box does not have that much capacity.
7.City rivalry
Now I have common platform to show that Bombay sucks and delhi is better. Not that I have succeed until now, but in a few days I will.
8. Preserve retired cricketers

We all love our cricketers.....
We all love our cricketers, No mater how bad they preform or even if they are too old to lift the bat. We just can’t throw them out of our lifes. Its like watching your pet dog die.IPL puts them on a perfect spot.Make them retire from test cricket, then from One day and as a compoensation make them captain of a IPL team.
In that manner we can watch them for some 5-6 seasons more and not feel bad if they are not scoring runs. They will pass their wisdom on to the next generation.
These are some of the few points that i could think of.
can you think of anything better?
